Part Four — Application
Chapter 10 — Buying at Support
Support is any level where the price of an asset reaches, changes direction and continue to rise. Buying at support means acting after that behaviour appears — not in anticipation of it.
Illustrative example
Wait
The level is identified before price arrives. Nothing is done while price is still travelling towards it. Waiting is an active decision, not indecision.
Confirmation
Confirmation is the market demonstrating the change of direction: rejection of the lower prices, a close back inside the level, buyers visibly regaining control on the lower timeframe. Without it you are guessing.
Reaction
A genuine reaction moves away from the level with intent. A weak drift sideways is not a reaction; it is price still deciding.
Entry concept
Entry is taken in agreement with the confirmed reaction, with the level below providing the reason for the trade. The precise entry model used in professional InstaSwich execution is reserved for Advanced Training.
Stop placement
The stop sits beyond the level — below the area that must hold for the idea to be valid. If price trades decisively through it, the reason for the trade no longer exists and you should be out.
Profit targets
Target the next opposing level: the nearest internal resistance first, the external boundary beyond it. Targets are read from the chart, not invented from a desired return.
Risk
Measure entry to stop, apply your fixed percentage risk, and size accordingly. If the distance to the nearest target does not reward the risk, decline the trade.
Example walkthrough
Daily chart shows an external support boundary that produced a strong prior rally. Price returns to it after several sessions. On M15 price reaches the area, wicks below it, and closes back above with buyers following through. The stop goes beneath the area, the first target is the internal level that capped the last leg, and position size is calculated from that stop distance. Every step is mechanical.
Key concepts
- Support must be identified before approach
- Confirmation follows reaction
- Risk and target are planned
Practical example
Price reaches higher-timeframe support but shows no reaction, so the disciplined decision is to wait.
Common mistake
Buying immediately because price touched a marked area.
