Part Four — Application
Chapter 13 — The InstaSwich Conservative Model
Two paths exist in trading. They begin with the same charts and end in completely different places. The difference is the order of priorities.
Illustrative example
In the InstaSwich model, capital preservation comes first. It makes disciplined risk management possible. Risk management makes consistency possible. Consistency is what eventually produces profitability. Each stage depends on the one before it.
In the failing model, risk is taken first, without a defined loss. When the trade moves against the trader, hope replaces analysis. Hope delays the loss until it is large. Large losses compound into an account blow-up.
Key concepts
- Capital preservation enables risk management
- Risk management supports consistency
- Consistency can support profitability
Practical example
A trader using fixed small risk can review many decisions without one loss ending the process.
Common mistake
Starting with desired profit and accepting whatever risk is needed to chase it.
